  1. sauber11 says:

Alexander Rossi will be testing. Looks like 2 days testing , no information on the teams.

By the way , GP3 will costs just 300.000 euro 🙂

    • gp2 insider says:

€300k would be nice… unfortunately it must be a typo. Thanks for the tip on Rossi… will be interesting to see him in a GP2.

  2. Francois says:

    Pic probably with Barwa
    Bianchi probably with ART
    Kobayashi and d’Ambrosio with Dams
    Herck with DPR

  3. gp2aswell says:

    Kralev with Trident
Mortara could be with Trident as well, he tested last year with them
    Leimer with DAMS
    V.D.Garde with ART
    Possibly Bottas with ART

    more more…

  4. gp2 insider says:

Thanks for your continuing inputs… keep them coming! At this pace, we will have a list before GP2 itself… which is no surprise the way they follow this blog now!

  5. AMS says:

Is not a GP2 Asia Test , it´s a GP2 Main Test , so Meritus will not test and Racing Engineering yes.

  6. gp2 insider says:

AMS, sorry for correcting you but this is a GP2 Asia Test. GP2 Main will not test until March 2010 in Paul Ricard and Barcelona.

Check out the details in this Autosport article: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78032

  7. AMS says:

Sorry , but you have to read again Autosport article:

“Dates have also been finalised for the GP2 main series end-of-season tests, with a three-day outing at Jerez scheduled between October 6-8 and another at Paul Ricard on November 10-12. ”

Racing Engineering will test , and GP2 Asia Cars are in transit to Asia Base at Dubai , because the first GP2 Asia test will be at Abu Dhabi on 23/24 th October.

  8. Diogo Oliveira says:

I’ve heard that Filipe Albuquerque will test Ocean’s car. 😀

  9. Diogo Oliveira says:

    Two more:

-Sebástien Loeb tests DPR (confirmed by Ricardo Teixeira)
-Ricardo Teixeira tests Super Nova (confirmed)

  10. Francois says:

How Teixeira knows this ? ?

  11. sauber11 says:

How could i forgot it , Bruno Senna will test for Isport. Thats 100% , but cant say how many days ( guess 1-2).
Also i have read on forum that Philipp Eng will test for Ocean.
And Leimer indeed will test for DAMS, but on 12 november at france ( f-master winning prize).

  12. gp2aswell says:

Perez with Arden. just a guess.

  13. Diogo Oliveira says:

Last week in Portimao, my 16 Valves boss was with Ricardo Teixeira. Teixeira told him that Loeb will test the DPR car to train for the Abu Dhabi GP, in November.

Regarding to Teixeira’s test in Super Nova, he receveid a sms right in the moment that my boss was going away to talk with other drivers, but Ricardo called him and told the news. In my opinion, ‘money’…

  14. sauber11 says:

french radio RMC confirmed Loeb testing for DPR.
That will cost Red Bull ( who pays it) 90.000 euro.
P.S. didnt know tests costs that much , even if he tests all 3 days with many sets of tires.

  15. gp2aswell says:

Leimer will race next season with DAMS.

Just take a note of it

  16. gp2 insider says:

€90.000 for 3 days is a bit steep. The normal price for a GP2 Main test is around €25.000 per full day. Red Bull is paying a €15.000 premium in this case, which seems highly unnecessary and unreasonable, in my opinion.

Without any disrespect to DPR, I am very surprised that Loeb is testing with this team. First, Red Bull has ties to Arden, so I would think they would try there first. Second, DPR’s track record is not the best (zero points in 2009), so it’s surprising that a future F1 driver will test with them, especially having other alternatives.

That said, congratulations to Andre Herck for booking such a great driver. A great boost to the team and a great boost for GP2…. best of luck at Jerez!

  17. Rob says:

Loeb is friends with one of the DPR engineers, which is why he’s testing with them.

  18. sauber11 says:

As i thought , 80% information we will receive from italiaracing
Bonanomi, Bratt and Onidi ( top3 guys from euroseries f3000 ) to Jerez with Coloni

  19. Patrik says:

Marcus Ericsson will probably be in the mix I’m guessing DAMS(Toyota TOM’s link) or maybe for Arden(Wirdheim link).

  20. Francois says:

Now as he put this on his own website, I can confirm you.

Sebastien Loeb will test the 3rd day with DPR in Jerez.

  21. Nick says:

90% Marcus Ericsson will race in 2010 with iSport.

  22. sauber11 says:

    From http://twitter.com/iSportOfficial
Sorry to those who asked but we are not going to confirm who is testing you’ll have to wait until next week to see.
Jerez next week. Drivers having seat fittings today.

Got a question , is fitting a seat means that the driver never tested gp2 \ or never tested for isport or ? Can we understand that they are going to test new boys?

  23. Francois says:

Victor Garcia will test the first day with DPR.

  24. Diogo Oliveira says:

Told ya! Loeb tests for DPR! I know this since the last GP2 race in Portimão. 😀

  25. Renata says:

Esteban Gutiérrez on 1st day with ART

  26. Will says:

Razia confirms Day 1/2 at Piquet GP

  27. Nick says:

Italiaracing : Durango at Jerez test with Francesco Castellacci and probably Macello Puglisi

  28. Fletcher says:

Perez I guess feels he doesn’t need to test or is he F1 bound?

    • gp2 insider says:

I had the same question… I think he’ll probably show up at the test. Arden hasn’t said anything yet. F1? Let’s hope not yet. Another GP2 year would be good…

  29. sauber11 says:

Adrian Sutil told “La Gazzetta dello Sport” that he received interesting proposal from top gp2 team and he gonna try it.
100% Isport and “their surprise” 🙂 Busted !

    • gp2 insider says:

Sutil can test all he wants, but according to current GP2 sporting regulations, any driver that has completed a full F1 season cannot race in GP2. Why the heck would he test?? Just PR for iSport?

      • Hayley says:

I am the PR for iSport and we are not testing Sutil at Jerez. Ridiculous story. I think some of the F1 guys may be talking about the Abu Dhabi test and I would not be suprised if some of the F1 drivers tested with GP2 teams to learn the track.

Bruno is testing one day at Jerez with us but most people already know that.

        • gp2 insider says:

Hayley, wonderful to see you here and thanks for the clarification. Indeed a ridiculous story which, as pointed out, made no sense! Look forward to more of your insights here. By the way, just added Senna to the confirmed list testing with your team, as published by Autosport.

  30. Big' says:

    Full GP3 line-up:
    Addax Team
    ART Grand Prix
    Carlin Motorsport
    Jenzer Motorsport
    Manor Racing
    Mucke Motorsport
    MW Arden
    Status Grand Prix
    Tech 1 Racing

  31. Fletcher says:

I agree with you Perez needs another year in GP2 preferably with Addax and I hope Gutierrez does another year in F3 instead of GP2

  32. sauber11 says:

The drivers who will take to the wheel for the Jerez testing session for Ocean Racing Technology are (Swiss) Fabio Leimer, (Czech) Josef Kral, (Venezuelan) Rodolfo Gonzalez and (French) Charles Pic.

  33. Nick says:

Cecotto Jr. will test with Trident racing, maybe only 1 day.

  34. Francois says:

Vladimir Arabadzhiev will drive one day for DPR.

  35. sauber11 says:

    Valsecchi for Coloni
Massa going to test Gp2 car ! For sure it will be ART , but i wonder if he will test at Jerez or Abu Dhabi.

  36. monegasque says:

PIQUET has announced the Jerez test lineup:
    One day Luiz Razia.
Two day: Chris Van der Drift, Alexander Rossi, Josef Kral and Vladimir Arabadzhiev.

  37. GP2aswell says:

No Massa. Jakes on day 3 with Super Nova
