1 month to Paul Ricard

The 3 days of expectation from the Jerez test have come and gone, with 42 drivers lapping around the Spanish track.   Now we have a bit over a month to speculate about who and what until the Paul Ricard tests on November 10-12 that will close out the 2009 GP2 Main season.

Just before that, GP2 Asia will debut at the Abu Dhabi circuit, with a couple days of tests preceding the race.  Let’s see who begins to get confirmed for Asia.  So far, only Jakes and Kralev are on my working list for this championship.

I though Max Chilton was confirmed for the Asia series too? Or did that fall through?

I would like to see António Félix da Costa testing a GP2 car. He’s still in Fórmula Renault 2.0, and he’s the new NEC champion, and he was screwed of the Eurocup title, but he still has a shot.

He tested, last year, a World Series by Renault car and was one of the quieckest, with only 17 years of age. It would be interesting to see what he would do in a GP2 car.

autosport reports today that Bianchi has signed for ART for both Asia and main GP2 series
