Ericsson/Pic in Addax would be an intresting combo for 2011 tbh 🙂

  2. Bowe Bevonius says:

Can you confirm that the test will be run on Pirelli tires? Any live timing from Abu Dhabi?

    • gp2 insider says:

The test is with the GP2 2008 car and with Bridgestone tires. Team Air Asia and Carlin will not be there but DPR should be there.

  3. Karim says:

    Berthon with ART and Dams.

  4. USMarshall says:

Is it possible to send an email to the blogger?

  5. Karim says:

Turvey Lost RSF support as they cannot pay a 2.2 millions € budget for a GP2 season next year as every teams want to have at least.

  6. Karim says:

    Sims will test.

  7. Karim says:

Wickens will take part to the test.

  8. Vincent LS says:

It is NathanAel Berthon and not NathanIel !

  9. sauber11 says:

Alexander Rossi testing on 27-28 november.

I would strongly bet both days will be with Rapax ( he tested with them 3-4 days last year and they were ready to sign him).

    • gp2 insider says:

Very surprised to learn about Rossi. He very recently swore his love and affection for both the WSR championship and the ISR team. Maybe this test, be it with Rapax or another team, is a way to try and entice him back to GP2 after having had a taste (though not very successful) of GP3 last year…. Let’s see where he ends up.

RE tomorrow with Caldarelli and Jakes

Logic says Alexander Sims testing 27 with ART and 28 with RE.

    Morning result already here http://twitter.com/feeder_series

  11. Cláudio Alegria says:

I wonder what’s the point of this test… leeching off drivers? Okay, the teams can learn a bit about which drivers are going to be good, but not to a very reliable point considering this is the old car.

    • Jas says:

These tests are to test driver for next year not to test the car, So they don’t really need to have the same car as they are racing, it’s more to see how the driver performs and how they work within the team.
Of course doing it Abu Dhabi has no doubt increased the testing costs, but that’s was the only way they could have tested driver before the Asia Series.
