A variety of opinions in our trivia question:
1) R. Risatti - 22%
2) E. Piscopo - 19%
3) T. Vilander - 17%
4) P. Nocera - 17%
5) H. Karjalainen - 14%
The correct answer is Henri Karjalainen, who raced with BCN in the 2007 Turkish GP, subbing for fellow Finn Markus Niemela. Karjalainen was a DNF in both races in Istambul, and is the only driver never to be classified in a GP2 race.
Great show of knowledge from GP2insider readers! Luca Filippi has driven with 5 different teams in GP2: BCN, FMS, ART, Arden and Super Nova.
Tied for second place are 4 drivers who have driven for 4 different teams: Tung (BCN, Trident, DAMS, RE), Pantano (Super Nova, FMS, Campos, RE), Di Grassi (Durango, ART, Campos, RE) and Zuber (Trident, iSport, Piquet, Coloni).
Poll results:
1) Luca Filippi - 50%
2) Giorgio Pantano - 14%
3) Lucas Di Grassi - 14%
4) Andreas Zuber - 7%
5) Javi Villa - 7%
* Villa is actually a trick answer. Having raced may races, Villa has surprisingly only raced with 2 teams in GP2: Racing Engineering and Super Nova.
Your answers to the trivia question were:
1) Giorgio Pantano - 31%
2) Nico Rosberg - 19%
3) Pastor Maldonado - 16%
... but actually, the correct answer is Lewis Hamilton. Yes, unbelievably, Lewis scored only 1 Saturday pole position in his triumphant 2006 GP2 season - at Monaco of all places.
The preseason hype has landed Bianchi at the top of our poll. Many expected a Hamilton/ Hulkenberg repeat and have voted Jules as the biggest disappointment of 2010. Not far behind, much more was expected of GP2 Asia champ Valsecchi, with a lackluster season where he was beaten by rookie teammate Oliver Turvey.
Results:
1) Jules Bianchi: 30%
2) Davide Valsecchi: 22%
3) Giedo van der Garde: 20%
4) Marcus Ericsson: 19%
5) Charles Pic: 9%
