Jerez Day 2 – afternoon session: Kamui states his case

Kamui has come back motivated from his non-drive at the Japanese F1 GP.   He probably wanted to show the F1 stewards that they should have let him drive!  He had a strong morning session and has topped the afternoon one.  Times are almost 9-tenths slower than the morning times.  Kam’s top afternoon time would have been good enough for 10th this morning.

Up there as well are D’Ambrosio, van der Garde, Nunes and Vietoris.  Racing Engineering has shown good form these past 2 days, raising its level in the eyes of potential driver for 2010.

Good to see Leimer and Ericsson up on top of the time charts, though Marcus’ time is actually slower than this morning while Fabio’s is practically the same.  Read more of this post

Jerez Day 2 – morning session: van der Garde is back.

Giedo van der Garde is back, after a day of trials in the UK with Force India, and has come back strong.  With the Barwa car he is on top, over a tenth clear of an impressive Valerio who today is using Valsecchi’s car from yesterday.  Something up with Coloni?  Looking good…  D’Ambrosio stays in the top 5 after changing teams (good sign for a driver), as does Vietoris.  Bianchi not at Jerez today (or tomorrow)… pity.
